Severe Leg Injury Forces Pistons' Jaden Ivey Off Court Against Magic
Jaden Ivey of the Detroit Pistons suffers a severe leg injury during a match against the Orlando Magic, leading to an emergency stretcher evacuation.
Jaden Ivey suffered a significant leg injury after scoring 22 points in the Detroit Pistons’ 105-96 triumph over the Orlando Magic on Wednesday night.
With 10:07 remaining and the Pistons ahead 84-79, Ivey and Orlando’s Cole Anthony competed for the ball when Anthony slipped and collided into Ivey’s leg. Ivey fell to the ground in clear pain, clutching his left shin, prompting immediate medical attention from Detroit’s staff.
The training staff shielded the view of the incident from the audience as players from both teams surrounded Ivey. After delays for treatment, he was taken out on a stretcher with a towel covering his injury.
Players from both squads offered comfort to Ivey and a visibly shaken Anthony during the situation.
