UFC Event at the White House: All You Should Know About the Upcoming June Spectacle

Get updated on the highly anticipated UFC event scheduled to take place at the White House later this year.

UFC is currently immersed in preparations for an extraordinary event set to take place at the White House later this summer. Here are the essential details you need to know about this historic occasion.

Event Overview

The UFC plans to host a fight card during the summer, with many eager fans wondering about the specifics. Last year, President Trump suggested the idea of a UFC event at the White House in honor of America’s 250th birthday celebration on the Fourth of July. Shortly after, Dana White confirmed that UFC would indeed bring this unique event to life. Numerous significant figures from the sport have shown interest in participating.

When Will It Be?

The UFC White House card is tentatively set for June 14, aligning with President Trump’s 80th birthday. Initially, the event was planned for July 4, but has since been rescheduled. The confirmed time for the start of the card is still pending.

What Will the Structure Look Like?

Fighters will have the unique experience of proceeding from the Oval Office to the Octagon. The Octagon is projected to be set up on the South Lawn, with expectations of fewer than 5,000 attendees due to security measures. UFC’s parent company CEO Ari Emmanuel has previously estimated an audience of 3,000 to 4,000 guests. Additionally, there are plans to provide large screens in the surrounding areas, accommodating up to 85,000 people.

Video Guidance

Dana White mentioned, “We have this video rendering of what this looks like. We literally have the trees in the South Lawn, so we’ll know exactly where the sun is until it sets. All the logistics are done.”

Who Will Compete?

As of now, no specific fights have been announced. Dana White and the matchmakers were in discussions earlier in February to begin assembling the fight card. While speculation remains high, it is likely that six or seven fights will take place. Fighters like Conor McGregor have recently shown their intention to return, and Islam Makhachev has proposed a potential ‘super fight’ with Ilia Topuria.
