Edwards had already been penalized for arguing and exchanging pushes with Jarred Vanderbilt earlier in the match. He was penalized again for pushing off his defender, which ultimately resulted in his automatic ejection after using inappropriate language.

“Anthony Edwards picked up his 16th technical foul of the season vs. the Lakers. He was ejected from the game and will be suspended for the Wolves’ next game.”

This action led to him tossing the ball into the stands instead of returning it to the officials. This act will probably cost him financially, as fines for such actions are expected to follow. Fortunately, he recently secured a five-year, $260 million contract.
