2025 NBA Bad Beats: Anthony Edwards Ejected Just Before Overs

Anthony Edwards was close to satisfying Over bettors before an ejection during a tense game against the Lakers.

On Thursday night in Los Angeles, Anthony Edwards was on the verge of making bettors very content.

But his temper got the best of him.

In the Timberwolves matchup against the Lakers, Edwards had an Over/Under total of 6.5 for rebounds and 5.5 for assists.

With a little over five minutes remaining in the third quarter, Edwards had already secured six rebounds and distributed five assists, needing just one more rebound and assist in the final 17 minutes to help Over bettors win.

However, a significant issue arose: Edwards would not partake in the concluding 17 minutes.

At the 5:21 point in the third quarter, following a play with the Lakers’ Gabe Vincent, Edwards received a technical foul. Vincent had halted Edwards’ drive to the basket, leading to Edwards falling and confronting the referees about the no-call.

This technical foul was his second of the game, resulting in his ejection before achieving his Overs.
