Bryce James Commits to Play for Arizona Basketball Team

Bryce James, the younger son of NBA icon LeBron James, has announced his commitment to the University of Arizona for college basketball.

Bryce James, younger son of NBA star LeBron James and brother of Bronny James, announced his commitment to play basketball at Arizona for the 2025 class on Instagram.

His father had a quick response:

“CONGRATULATIONS MAXIMUS!! SO PROUD OF YOU!!”

Bryce will be the second of LeBron’s sons to compete in Division I basketball. His brother, Bronny, played one season at USC before turning pro and was drafted by LeBron’s team, the Los Angeles Lakers, making them the first father-son duo to play together in an NBA game.

Standing at 6-foot-4, Bryce is rated as a four-star prospect from Sierra Canyon High School in Chatsworth, California, and was invited to the USA Basketball under-17 national team training camp over the summer.

Currently, he ranks as the No. 30 overall prospect in California and the No. 47 shooting guard nationally according to 247 Sports. Bryce joins five-star prospect Dwayne Aristode as part of Arizona’s 2025 recruiting class.
