Memphis Grizzlies' Ja Morant Faces Injury After Collision

Ja Morant has been diagnosed with a sprained shoulder following a game against the New Orleans Pelicans.

Ja Morant is currently dealing with a sprained right shoulder and will be evaluated weekly, according to the Memphis Grizzlies.

Morant sustained the injury during a game when he collided with a legal screen set by Daniel Theis in the third quarter of the Grizzlies’ recent victory over the New Orleans Pelicans. He was seen keeping his right arm hanging while returning to the bench.

The diagnosis revealed a Grade 1 AC joint sprain, and more updates will follow as necessary.

Morant was limited to just nine games last season due to a torn labrum in the same shoulder. This season, he has been averaging 21.2 points over 20 games, but he had previously missed eight games because of a posterior hip subluxation and multiple pelvic muscle strains.

Morant felt significant discomfort and will need to be managed carefully moving forward.
(Morant expressed concerns regarding his previous injuries.)

Stay tuned for more updates on Morant’s condition.
