Justin Gaethje Challenges His Fighting Style Ahead of UFC 313

The UFC fighter weighs in on the need for a more aggressive approach in his upcoming match.

Justin Gaethje claims he has been too cautious in his recent matches as he prepares for his return at UFC 313 on Saturday. Known for his aggressive fighting style, Gaethje expressed his desire to adopt a more offensive approach in his upcoming fights. He believes that to achieve success in mixed martial arts, a fighter must be forward-moving and aggressive.

“I fell into a tendency to not move forward as much as I should… If you look at the champions, they’re moving forward 70 or 80% of the time. That’s not the answer.”

Gaethje insists that the focus should not only be on safety, citing former opponents as benchmarks for improvement. Hopes are high for his bout on Saturday, which he describes as a return to form, reflecting on his earlier, less restrained fighting days.
