Former captain Neymar has made a comeback to the Brazil national team after being absent for nearly a year and a half.
The 33-year-old striker has been named in the squad by coach Dorival Júnior for upcoming World Cup qualifiers against Colombia and Argentina this month.
Neymar recently resumed play with Santos following an ACL injury sustained in October 2023.
He previously left Al-Hilal in January and signed a six-month contract with his former club.
Brazil, currently fifth in the South American qualifying standings, will host Colombia on March 20 and travel to face Argentina five days later at Monumental de Nunez Stadium in Buenos Aires.
“He played two matches at Santos for 90 minutes. He has also been rested in the last phases of some matches,” said Júnior. “Let’s see how he performs ahead of our matches.”
