The Rolex SailGP Championship announced on Friday that Kylian Mbappé’s Coalition Capital is investing in the France SailGP team. This follows DJ Khaled’s appointment as the Chief Hype Officer.

In addition to the investment from Coalition Capital, Mbappé’s ‘Inspired by KM’ initiative will become the charity partner for the French team, which is managed by K-Challenge and co-CEOs Bruno Dubois and Stephan Kandler.

“We are excited to be on board with this new adventure with the France SailGP Team, alongside Accor and other investors,” Mbappé stated. “I’m also proud that IBKM has the opportunity to engage more young people around the world through this relationship.”

“We couldn’t be more excited to welcome Kylian Mbappé into our growing SailGP family of partners and investors – he’s undeniably one of the most influential athletes of our time,” said SailGP CEO Russell Coutts.

The French team’s driver, Quentin Delapierre, leads the original six teams established in 2019 and currently possesses the race speed record.

The announcement comes right before the Los Angeles Sail Grand Prix, where Khaled will promote the sport. The first day of the event will be aired on CBS Sports Network this weekend.
