
The Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup will be showcased on CBS Sports until 2026. America’s oldest soccer tournament, which has been ongoing since 1914, will feature all matches starting from the third round, set to begin on April 15th. These matches will be streamed exclusively on Paramount+ with select broadcasts available on CBS Sports Network and CBS Sports Golazo Network.
Streaming of the second round will take place on April 1-2 via U.S. Soccer’s YouTube channel. This coverage will not only encompass the matches but also feature content highlighting the narratives behind this historical competition. Exciting stories include unlikely teams like El Farolito FC making waves, and notable participants such as former MLS stars Sacha Kljestan leading the Des Moines Menace in their campaign.
“This marks a significant stride in our approach to soccer and aims at enhancing accessibility for all fans and further promoting the sport, which boasts the most inclusive soccer tournament in the U.S.,” stated David Wright.
The tournament has seen an increase in prize money over the years, totaling $1 million this season. $600,000 will await the victorious team while the runner-up will secure $250,000. Also, Divisions 2, 3 and the Open Division’s top finishers will earn $50,000 each.
