Caleb Plant and Jermall Charlo are set to face off in separate bouts on May 31 at the Michelob Ultra Arena in Las Vegas. Plant, the interim WBA super middleweight champion, will fight Jose Armando Resendiz, while Charlo is set to battle Thomas LaManna. The event will be streamed live on Amazon Prime Video.

In a press release from Premier Boxing Champions (PBC), it was indicated that if both Plant and Charlo win, they are slated for a potential grudge match down the line. The rivalry dates back to an incident in 2023 when Plant slapped Charlo during a backstage confrontation.

Plant (23-2, 14 KOs) last fought in 2023, defeating Trevor McCumby in Round 9 to capture his interim title. On the other hand, Charlo (33-0, 22 KOs) has not been in the ring since outpointing Jose Benavidez Jr. in November 2023.
