Abdul Carter's Injury Recovery: Positive Update for Top NFL Draft Prospect
Penn State standout Abdul Carter receives encouraging news regarding his foot injury, indicating a smooth recovery and a potential path to the NFL Draft.
Penn State’s edge rusher Abdul Carter is recovering well. Recent reports from ESPN indicate that a medical check in Indianapolis revealed progress in healing the stress reaction in his foot, and surgery will not be necessary.
“It should be a non-factor with the teams at this point,” agent Drew Rosenhaus stated, echoing previous observations from Ryan Wilson, CBS Sports’ NFL Draft analyst.
Carter was unable to participate in the NFL Scouting Combine due to this injury and also missed out on Penn State’s Pro Day while recovering from a shoulder issue he sustained during the season.
Carter has been noted as the top edge prospect for the upcoming NFL Draft, acclaimed for his impressive stats which include 68 tackles, 24 tackles for loss (NCAA best), and 12 sacks during the last season.
