Ja Morant's Grenade Dance Continues Amid NBA Scrutiny

Following a hefty fine from the NBA, Ja Morant has introduced a grenade celebration in the game, promising to adapt his antics if further restrictions are imposed.

Ja Morant showcased his new grenade celebration during recent games after being fined $75,000 for previous finger-gun gestures. His adaptation involves mimicking the action of tossing a grenade while covering his ears after making a successful three-pointer.

Morant executed this celebration multiple times in a win against the Charlotte Hornets and noted that he would continue unless the NBA intervened again. “That’s my celebration now until someone else has a problem with it,” he stated, reflecting on his ongoing controversies, including past suspensions for incidents involving firearms.

He added, “I wasn’t surprised” about the sanction concerning his gestures, emphasizing the visibility of his actions over the last two years.
