An overview of the top 40 rookies to watch for the 2025 NFL Draft, factoring in performance, potential landing spots, and pre-draft speculation.
Pre-draft rookie rankings for Fantasy football
We are now less than two weeks away from the NFL Draft, marking the perfect moment for my pre-draft top 40. As landing spots and draft positions will pivot these rankings soon, our insights remain valid. We’ve analyzed film and statistics, as well as recent combines and Pro Days. Soon, we will see how various NFL teams assess each player.
For a deeper look at the prospects, we’ve already evaluated the quarterback and running back classes on FFT Dynasty. Most recently, Jacob Gibbs discussed RB7-12 in consensus rankings and highlighted a few sleepers within this group. Widely viewed as the deepest position in the 2025 Draft class, Gibbs is a strong advocate of this sentiment. You can listen to his insights here:
Below, my top 40 is split into the first three rounds of a Superflex rookie-only draft. Later this week, we will launch a Superflex rookie-only mock draft to gauge how other analysts assess these rankings. Here are summaries for each round.
Round 1
- Ashton Jeanty, RB, Boise State
- Cam Ward, QB, Miami
- Treveyon Henderson, RB, Ohio State
- Omarion Hampton, RB, North Carolina
- Tetairoa McMillan, WR, Arizona
- Quinshon Judkins, RB, Ohio State
- Luther Burden, WR, Missouri
- Emeka Egbuka, WR, Ohio State
- Shedeur Sanders, QB, Colorado
- Travis Hunter, WR, Colorado
- Matthew Golden, WR, Texas
- Tyler Warren, TE, Penn State
Jeanty and Ward are the most stable picks in this group. Hunter could see the most movement in rankings based on his role after the draft, while Sanders may also shift significantly.
Round 2
- Colston Loveland, TE, Michigan
- Devin Neal, RB, Kansas
- Kaleb Johnson, RB, Iowa
- Harold Fannin, TE, Bowling Green
- Jaxon Dart, QB, Ole Miss
- Jalen Milroe, QB, Alabama
- Cam Skattebo, RB, Arizona State
- Tahj Brooks, RB, Texas Tech
- Damien Martinez, RB, Miami
- RJ Harvey, RB, UCF
- Dylan Sampson, RB, Tennessee
- Tyler Shough, QB, Louisville
Warren’s draft status gives him an edge over Loveland, despite my admiration for the latter.
Round 3
- Isaiah Bond, WR, Texas
- Jayden Higgins, WR, Iowa State
- Tre Harris, WR, Ole Miss
- Jack Bech, WR, TCU
- Mason Taylor, TE, LSU
- Elijah Arroyo, TE, Miami
- Jordan James, RB, Oregon
- Jalen Royals, WR, Utah State
- Jaylin Noel, WR, Iowa State
- Brashard Smith, RB, SMU
- Trevor Etienne, RB, Florida
- Savion Williams, RB/WR, TCU
The potential for these players to rise is vast, especially if they have a fitting draft outcome.
Final 4
- Elic Ayomanor, WR, Stanford
- Bhashul Tuten, RB, Virginia Tech
- Ollie Gordon, RB, Oklahoma State
- Jacory Croskey-Merritt, RB, Arizona
Any of those running backs could significantly impact their rankings with favorable draft news.
