Quarterback Jaden Rashada Plans a Visit to North Carolina Amid Transfer Market Interest

One of the leading quarterbacks available in the transfer portal is set to visit the University of North Carolina in the near future.

Jaden Rashada, one of the premier quarterbacks in the transfer portal, has announced he will visit the University of North Carolina on Wednesday. Rashada is regarded as the top available quarterback according to the 247Sports transfer rankings and recently toured Western Kentucky as well.

After losing several scholarship quarterbacks, including Ryan Browne, who transferred to UNC from Purdue, the Tar Heels are looking to reset their QB lineup. South Alabama’s Gio Lopez has also recently been brought in as a competitor for the starting role at UNC.

Rashada’s journey began at Arizona State where he made several starts as a true freshman. After transferring to Georgia, he did not play in their successful run to the College Football Playoff and has now opted to enter the transfer portal again.

If successful in joining North Carolina, Rashada would be included in the competition alongside true freshman Bryce Baker, while also contending with Max Johnson, recovering from a leg injury suffered in last season’s opening game.

Rashada is a former top-50 recruit in the 2023 class, and currently ranks No. 198 overall and No. 17 at his position in the transfer portal rankings, ahead of Lopez who ranks No. 362 overall.
