Jayson Tatum's Injury Status: Celtics Star Faces Doubtful Game 2 Against Magic
Boston Celtics forward Jayson Tatum is reportedly doubtful for Game 2 against the Orlando Magic due to a wrist injury he sustained during Game 1.
Boston Celtics star Jayson Tatum has been listed as doubtful for Game 2 against the Orlando Magic on Wednesday due to a right wrist injury sustained during a victory in Game 1.
During the game, Tatum suffered a hard fall, landing awkwardly on his wrist, but did not appear overly concerned afterward. \n"It’s all right," he mentioned to reporters, stating that it was “throbbing for a second,” but then the pain subsided. \n He received an X-ray that fortunately came back “clean.” Despite the injury, Tatum remained in the game, finishing with 17 points, 14 rebounds, and 4 assists, though he did seem to favor his wrist towards the end.
Quote: \n> “The illegal contact by Caldwell-Pope and then the ensuing follow-through while I was in the air was flagged as a Flagrant Foul, as it posed a risk of injury,” said the crew chief Zach Zarba of the play involving Tatum. \n If Tatum’s condition doesn’t improve by Game 2, the Celtics may opt to rest their star player, especially after a comfortable 103-86 win in Game 1.
