Damian Lillard's Comeback Fails to Save the Bucks in Game 2 Against the Pacers
The Milwaukee Bucks suffer a defeat against the Indiana Pacers despite Damian Lillard's return from injury.
Damian Lillard returned to the court for the Milwaukee Bucks after an absence since March 18, but his presence wasn’t enough to help the team defeat the Indiana Pacers.
Pascal Siakam led the Pacers with 24 points and 11 rebounds, while Tyrese Haliburton contributed 21 points and 12 assists, ultimately guiding Indiana to a 123-115 victory and a 2-0 lead in their playoff series.
The Pacers consistently controlled the game, starting with a quick lead of 31-16 in the first quarter. Despite the Bucks mounting a late rally with a 13-0 run, Indiana finished strong, sealing the win with an 8-2 score in the final moments.
Giannis Antetokounmpo had an impressive performance, scoring 34 points with 18 rebounds and 7 assists. Lillard managed to score 14 points, although he struggled with his shooting, going 4-of-13 from the field. This game marked his first playoff appearance alongside Antetokounmpo.
With this victory, the Pacers have extended their dominance, winning five of the last six playoff encounters with the Bucks. The two teams will face each other again Friday for Game 3 in Milwaukee.
