Gotham FC forward Midge Purce makes her Broadway debut starring in the production of 'Chicago', showcasing her talent beyond the soccer field.

Gotham FC forward Midge Purce is making waves off the pitch with her recent performance on Broadway. In a thrilling debut, Purce took center stage as she delivered the opening monologue for the iconic production of Chicago alongside supermodel Ashley Graham and Broadway star Sophie Carmen-Jones.

Purce embodied the role of Roxie Hart, contributing to the promotional efforts for Gotham FC’s Broadway Night Game, set for May 16 against San Diego Waves FC.

“It’s an incredible honor to step onto the Broadway stage in Chicago,” Purce shared in a press release prior to the show. “Performing in a show with such legacy and power is something I take seriously and I couldn’t be more excited to embrace this challenge and celebrate the magic of live performance.”
“Es un honor increíble subir al escenario de Broadway en Chicago,” Purce compartió en un comunicado de prensa antes del espectáculo. “Actuar en un espectáculo con un legado y poder así es algo que tomo en serio y no podría estar más emocionada por asumir este desafío y celebrar la magia de la actuación en vivo.”

This will mark Gotham FC’s inaugural Broadway Night, emphasizing the beloved theater scene in New York City. Honor Blue Savage, a performer from the Off-Broadway production Joy, will sing the national anthem, with a halftime show featuring Broadway entertainment.

Purce, a vital player for Gotham FC since 2020, led the team to their first NWSL championship in 2023 and earned MVP accolades for her performance in the championship match.
