Yunus Musah Faces Red Card in Turbulent Champions League Match

USMNT player Yunus Musah is sent off during an important AC Milan match, impacting the team's standing in the Champions League.

In a vital Champions League match for AC Milan, Yunus Musah received two yellow cards within eight minutes of the first half, resulting in a red card that diminished his team’s chances of advancing.

Even while facing a one-goal deficit, Milan struggled significantly as they played with ten men. This incident came after a collision involving Musah and Dinamo Zagreb’s Josip Misic following a free kick. Musah was penalized again for a foul on Luka Stokjkovic, further complicating the match for Milan.

Despite these setbacks, Christian Pulisic scored for Milan, marking his fourth goal in this Champions League season. This made him the first American to hit four goals in any UCL campaign. Ultimately, however, Zagreb emerged victorious, knocking Milan out of contention for direct advancement to the knockout stage.

The loss signifies challenges ahead for Milan, as Musah will not be available for the first leg of the knockout round. Milan’s upcoming fixture will potentially set up a derby against rivals Juventus or a face-off with Feyenoord as they hope for better outcomes soon.
