Donovan Mitchell Undergoes MRI for Ankle Injury After Game 4 Incident

Cleveland Cavaliers star Donovan Mitchell is set for an MRI after injuring his ankle in a playoff game against the Indiana Pacers.

Star player Donovan Mitchell of the Cleveland Cavaliers is preparing for an MRI on his injured ankle following an incident during Game 4, which resulted in a heavy loss to the Indiana Pacers.
Mitchell didn’t participate in the second half of the game, showing signs of discomfort while warming up during halftime. He recorded 12 points in just 20 minutes of play, ending the first half with the Cavaliers trailing notably at 80-39, ultimately losing 129-109.
Coach Kenny Atkinson announced after the game that Mitchell would need an MRI on his left ankle. Despite his struggles in the series against the Pacers, he led the Cavaliers in the regular season with an average of 24 points per game. His performance against the Pacers has seen a drop, but he maintains a strong shooting percentage of 58% from two-point range.
Regardless of Donovan’s condition, the No. 4-seeded Pacers have gained a 3-1 lead in the series and will have an opportunity to close it out on Tuesday in Cleveland, where they’ve already won two games.
