In contrast, the other teams have overcome significant odds to reach this stage. The Timberwolves pulled off an upset against the third-seeded Los Angeles Lakers in the first round, while the Knicks eliminated the reigning champions, the Boston Celtics. The Pacers managed to defeat the top-seeded Cleveland Cavaliers in their series.
