Shedeur Sanders Impresses with Outstanding Skills in Browns Training Sessions

The fifth-round draft pick draws praise from a team analyst after showcasing his abilities in organized team activities.

Cleveland Browns quarterback Shedeur Sanders has been impressive during OTAs, as noted by color analyst Nathan Zegura, who has been with the team for over ten years. During Wednesday’s drills, Sanders threw three touchdown passes and completed 7 of 9 attempts.

Sanders is competing with other quarterbacks in a crowded room, including Kenny Pickett, Joe Flacco, and fellow 2025 NFL Draft pick Dillon Gabriel.

“Shedeur’s looked good this offseason,” Zegura stated on the ‘Maggie and Perloff Show’ this Friday. “His ball placement is elite. His ability to layer throws is elite. I think he has the arm strength, which has been evident in camp. He exhibits a quiet confidence that I admire.”

Cleveland’s management saw Sanders as a high-value pick in the fifth round, even after selecting Gabriel earlier. His performance in college was notable, with him throwing for over 4,000 yards and 37 touchdowns last season.

Zegura expressed excitement about Sanders’ potential, highlighting the importance of accuracy, especially under pressure. With his competitive spirit, Sanders is in a position to make a strong case for a roster spot this summer, demonstrating the skills needed to potentially be a starting quarterback come Week 1 of the season.
