DeMarcus Cousins in Heated Confrontation with Fans During Puerto Rico Game
DeMarcus Cousins became involved in a controversial altercation with fans during a basketball game in Puerto Rico after being ejected.
Former NBA center DeMarcus Cousins was caught in a fiery exchange with fans during a basketball game on Monday night in Puerto Rico. Cousins, currently a player for Mets de Guaynabo in the Baloncesto Superior Nacional league, was thrown out of the match against Vaqueros de Bayamon after a dispute with a courtside supporter.
Details regarding what triggered the confrontation remain unclear, but footage revealed the fan making lewd gestures towards Cousins. In retaliation, Cousins responded provocatively by grabbing his crotch and putting his hand near the fan’s face, which prompted team personnel and players to intervene.
In a different video angle, Cousins is seen leaving the court post-ejection while being taunted by fans nearby. Some of them allegedly threw drinks at him as he departed. He seemingly tried to redirect his attention back to the court in reaction to the crowd, but security restrained him.
It’s uncertain whether Cousins will encounter any punitive measures from the league regarding this incident.
