Former NFL star Adam ‘Pacman’ Jones is facing multiple charges, including public intoxication, disorderly conduct, and assault on a police officer, following his recent arrest in Covington, Kentucky. According to court documents, this incident marks his fourth arrest in the last four years.
Jones is pleading not guilty to these charges, as reported by TMZ Sports. His lawyer, Timothy Schneider, provided a statement explaining Jones’s version of events outside a local bar during the weekend.
Allegations suggest that Jones struck a police officer’s lip with an elbow while being handcuffed. Witnesses described him as having “glossy eyes” and slurred speech, causing disruptions to the public.
The Covington Police Department has stated, “We take incidents of this nature very seriously. Adam Jones is being held to the same standard of conduct as any other individual in our community.”
Jones enjoyed a lengthy career in the NFL, starting with the Tennessee Titans in 2005, and is perhaps best remembered for his time with the Cincinnati Bengals, where he received first-team All-Pro honors in 2014.
