Alabama Brings Back Ryan Grubb as Offensive Coordinator

The University of Alabama has rehired Ryan Grubb as its offensive coordinator, reuniting him with coach Kalen DeBoer after a year spent with the Seattle Seahawks. Grubb initially followed DeBoer to Alabama in January 2024 after leaving Washington, but spent just one season in the NFL.

Grubb’s return marks a return to a familiar setting after the Alabama offense struggled last season, finishing low on total offense and passing statistics. The move is anticipated to launch a fresh offensive identity for the Crimson Tide in the upcoming season.

With a successful collaboration history at Washington that saw them achieve explosive offensive metrics, including second in passing yards nationally, Grubb’s hiring is seen as a pivotal step towards revamping Alabama’s offensive approach.
