2025 Rocket Classic Predictions: Surprising Picks from a Proven Model

An in-depth analysis of the 2025 Rocket Classic featuring predictions and insights from a seasoned sports model, which has shown success in major tournaments.

Cam Davis will be aiming to defend his title at the 2025 Rocket Classic, commencing on Thursday at Detroit Golf Club. The two-time champion, Davis, has struggled, finishing T-54 or worse in six of his last seven appearances on the PGA Tour.

Main Contenders

To reclaim his title, Davis must overcome tough competitors including major champs Collin Morikawa, Keegan Bradley, Hideki Matsuyama, and Matt Fitzpatrick. Morikawa leads this week’s odds at 12-1, followed closely by Bradley at 16-1.

Davis, however, is carrying odds of 80-1 to repeat as champion, despite having placed in the top 25 in the last four editions of the Rocket Classic, with a +300 chance of breaking into the top 20 this time around.

Model Predictions

SportsLine’s model has accurately predicted outcomes since the PGA Tour’s return in June 2020, raking in over $8,500 in profits with its bets. With the model’s track record of nailing 15 majors, including the last four Masters, it showcases strong forecasts for the upcoming classic.

Key Insights

One notable surprise from the model forecasts is that Keegan Bradley could struggle this week, likely not finishing in the top five after a recent win at the Travelers Championship. Despite strong stats, fatigue might impact his performance at Detroit Golf Club.

On the opposite end, Harry Hall, a 30-1 underdog, shows promise and is trending upwards with recent performances, including two top-10 finishes in his last three events.
