Prominent Players Left Undrafted in the 2025 NBA Draft

A look at notable college basketball players who were not selected in the 2025 NBA Draft, including Mark Sears and Caleb Love.

The aspirations of 59 basketball prospects from both college and international spheres were realized during the 2025 NBA Draft held at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn. This two-day event commenced with the Dallas Mavericks selecting Cooper Flagg at the top slot and concluded with the Memphis Grizzlies choosing Tennessee’s Jahmai Mashack at 59th overall.

Among the most notable players omitted from the draft was Mark Sears, an Alabama All-American guard who established himself as a top competitor after transferring from Ohio in 2022. Another prominent name without a selection was RJ Luis Jr., a standout wing from St. John’s and the Big East Player of the Year, who controversially sat out during the NCAA Tournament under coach Rick Pitino before opting to enter the draft.

The highest-ranked undrafted player was Izan Almansa from Spain, who was rated at No. 40 on our CBS Sports Big Board.

Caleb Love, who transferred to Arizona from North Carolina, was ranked No. 78 on our draft list and also failed to get picked. His experience with the Wildcats included leading them deep into the NCAA Tournament.

Many of those not selected are expected to sign two-way contracts shortly after the draft, while several others will have the opportunity to showcase their talents during the NBA Summer League. Below is a summary of key players left on the board as the draft wrapped up:
