Red Panda Injured During WNBA Halftime Performance

Red Panda, the famous halftime performer, fell off her unicycle during a WNBA game, leading to injury and an ambulance ride.

The well-known halftime performer known as Red Panda suffered an accident during her act at the WNBA Commissioner’s Cup final. She fell from her unicycle onto the court while performing for the audience gathered for the game featuring the Indiana Fever versus the Minnesota Lynx, unable to complete her routine.

No immediate details about the severity of her injuries have been released. After her fall, she was seen clutching her left wrist and was carried off the court via wheelchair. Reports indicate she was later transported from the Target Center in an ambulance, as documented by The Athletic.

Known as Rong Niu, Red Panda is a Chinese American whose history includes a family of acrobats. Her performance typically involves balancing bowls on her leg while riding a custom unicycle constructed to reach heights of about 8 feet above the floor.

Many in the basketball community expressed their hopes for her recovery after the incident, including Caitlin Clark, who stated during an Instagram live session, “Red Panda, we love you. If you’re watching, we love you.”

Red Panda has graced numerous basketball games with her performances, including the recent NBA Finals in Oklahoma City.
