Rhyne Howard Update: All-Star Game Missed Due to Injury

Rhyne Howard of the Atlanta Dream will be sidelined for the WNBA All-Star Game and the rest of July due to a left knee injury sustained during a game.

Atlanta Dream guard Rhyne Howard has suffered a left knee injury, occurring during Friday’s 99-82 defeat against the Indiana Fever. As a result, she will be out for the remainder of July and will miss the WNBA All-Star Game scheduled for Saturday. Although the team is optimistic about her recovery, they have not confirmed a timeline for her return. Howard was selected as a reserve for the All-Star Game by Napheesa Collier but will need to be replaced.

The injury took place midway through the second quarter when Howard fell while trying to grab a rebound. She was helped to the locker room after struggling to put weight on her left leg. Despite this setback, Howard played 26 minutes and scored 14 points in the game against Indiana.

Currently, with a record of 12-9, the Dream rank fifth in the league.
