Manny Pacquiao, one of the most renowned boxers of our time, is making his comeback to the ring on July 19 against Mario Barrios. The fight promises to be thrilling, as Pacquiao will challenge Barrios for his WBC welterweight title.
Having not fought since August 2021, when he faced Yordenis Ugas, this will be Pacquiao’s first match in nearly four years.
“The reason I came back to boxing is that I realized I can still fight,” Pacquiao asserted. “I still have that passion, I still have that speed… this victory is very important because this is very good inspiration for young kids.”
Taking on a younger champion in Barrios, who stands at 30 years old, presents a formidable challenge for the 46-year-old Pacquiao.
Barrios, looking to enhance his own reputation, has previously faced notable opponents, including a tough bout against Gervonta Davis in 2021.
