WWE superstar Seth Rollins is set for a lengthy spell on the sidelines following a knee injury he suffered during a match against LA Knight at Saturday Night’s Main Event.
The match concluded unexpectedly when Rollins’s knee buckled while performing a springboard backflip. Despite consulting with a ringside physician and the referee, Rollins managed to finish the match but acknowledges his current state isn’t optimal.
Rollins shared his thoughts with “The Rich Eisen Show” regarding his injury, stating: “There was some imaging. It was a little too swollen, so we’re going to take another look, hopefully in a week or two here in LA. I am not a doctor, I only know my body and what I feel. What I feel is that this is going to be me out for an extended period of time.”
This isn’t the first time Rollins has faced injury challenges; he successfully wrestled through significant discomfort during WrestleMania 41 last year despite suffering an MCL injury. Currently, he remains hopeful for a swift recovery ahead of next year’s WrestleMania season, indicating, “I’ve always got WrestleMania in the back of my mind. Can I make it back for WrestleMania season? I feel good about that. Beyond a firm timeline, I just won’t know until we receive a clearer answer from the MRI. That’s where it’s at.”
In his absence, other stars such as CM Punk and Roman Reigns have stepped into the spotlight.
