Joel Embiid's Injury Update: Sixers Center Out for a Minimum of 10 Days

Joel Embiid faces another setback as he will miss at least 10 days due to a sprained left foot and recurrent knee swelling.

Joel Embiid is dealing with swelling in his left knee, forcing him to miss the upcoming road trip of the Philadelphia 76ers. This marks yet another injury setback for the All-Star center, who has managed to participate in only 13 games this season.

Previously, Embiid was out for six games due to a sprained left foot. Although he seemed to have recovered from that injury, swelling re-emerged following a workout. After consultations with the team medical staff and external doctors, further treatment will be necessary, and he will be re-evaluated in a span of 7 to 10 days.

As a result, Embiid won’t be available for Saturday’s game against Indiana, Sunday’s match against Milwaukee, and Tuesday’s outing in Denver.

This season, Embiid has already missed 26 games. The Sixers have a record of 7-6 with him in the lineup, compared to 8-18 without him, currently holding a 15-24 record overall and sitting in 11th place in the Eastern Conference.

Injuries have significantly affected the Sixers this season, with the All-Star’s trio consisting of Embiid, Paul George, and Tyrese Maxey managing to play together for only 10 games so far, resulting in a 7-3 record.
